  1. Having a 4.0 grade average while taking AP classes and being in the National Honor Society are all wonderful things to start you on the road to being accepted into the top colleges...  However, what also counts is your scores on the SAT's, your extra curricular activities and, one very important part is how you sound to colleges on your application;  for example- - - your use of proper sentence structure and punctuation and capitalization of proper words in your sentences... I truly think you need some help on THAT before you start thinking about Harvard, Yale or Princeton....they might not accept you if you do not capitalize the first letter of their school names.   Also, any societies you might be a member of like the National Honor Society is a proper name and should also have the first letter of each word capitalized...  oh and I wasn't aware that schools were graded... only the students.

  2. Unfortunately, yes it will.  It will affect you a lot.  The best you can do is take the hardest classes and get the best grades in them.  Also, do lots of community service and extracurricular things.  Focus a lot on writing essays, because if there's any question, that will determine whether or not you are accepted.  Take a writing class if your school has it.  It's good to have such high standards, but remember there are other top colleges that aren't Ivy League that are a little bigger and a little less exclusive, as Ivies do tend to pick the rich, grade A private schooled and legacies.  That's not a rule though.  People do break through the mold, and hopefully you'll be one of them.  The only thing you can do is try the best you can.  It's good you want to succeed and I hope the best for you.  Oh yeah, and SATs are super important.  Make sure to take it at least twice, study super hard for those especially, and take at least two SAT subject tests.
