Is being left-handed an advantage in water polo?

i'm just wondering if i have any kind of advantage because of the fact that I'm left-handed.

  1. If the other team doesn't know that you're left-handed, you'll have a brief advantage.  But once they figure it out, being left-handed won't be an advantage anymore.  Try and play on the 4/5 side (the right side of the cage) because that's a lefty's strong side.  That lets one of your right-handed teammates go to their strong side instead of their weak side.


  2. Not really, except it helps if you play on the left.
