  1. Aside from being a minority? No. Where I live, homosexuals are treated much worse.

  2. i don't like it when people compare being g*y to the struggles and discrimination of minorities

if you compare those two, being g*y was a choice, that, or they could have hidden it

you can't hide your race so they're are not comparable

EDIT: choc1 im talking about for the most part, i for one, cannot hide my race, so anyone would know that im black. all g*y people can hide the fact that they're g*y (no im not saying they should im just giving an example) so not everyone would automatically know that they are g*y

  3. I disagree with who ever told you that. You can hide your sexuality but you can't hide what race you are making it two different things. A g*y person can choose when and to whom they want to reveal their sexuality too that gives them more control over the situation than a minority.

  4. Liking members of the same gender has nothing absolutely nothing to do with ethnicity, how do you think this?

  5. No, not really. You can stay in the closet until you're ready to handle what the world has to throw at you but you have to deal with issues relating to your race from the day that you're born.

It isn't the same...but it can be pretty bad for any one.

  6. No, they are idiots if they told you that.

  7. yes, it's the same

    is this a real question?

  8. ... Who the h**l compares being a minority to being g*y? Who is RETARDED enough to make such a ridiculous comparison?!

That's the kind of retarded, racist white person that gives the rest of us a bad name...

Anyway, don't take it bad... The guy is an idiot, who can't even come up with a decent insult. He's not worth your time.

  9. No, that's ignorant homie...minorities and g**s are just more inclined to experience discrimination.

And Rere, people have hid their races, especially mixed people during the civil rights movement.

  10. In a sense that can perceived as true.  Depending on where you live (I'm guessing in North America), Caucasians make up the majority of the population.  Similarly, throughout the world, the majority of people are heterosexual.  Being non-white and/or homosexual would make you a minority, so I understand the comparison.  Many people feel strongly about this issue, but what it boils down to is the fact that both of these groups have had to fight for the civil liberties that their counterparts receive (whites for non-whites and heterosexuals for homosexuals).  Yes, one could argue that you can hide the fact that you're g*y, but does that truly matter?  Whether or not you are open about your sexuality, you would still feel discriminated against by society, which in turn makes you unwilling to come out because you fear this persecution.  Being non-Caucasian is not able to be hidden in most cases, but to be blatantly honest, people of all colours generally have the same rights, whereas homosexuals are still struggling for equality.  I don't feel that you can say that one group has it worse than the other, but the similarities in the struggles of non-whites and g**s are indeed uncanny.  Hope this provided an interesting perspective on the issue!

  11. I've thought about this as well.

They're both minorities in the West and so yes they do have something in common.

  12. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!  Ive never heard anyone say that before.  Thats racist, and discrimative, and just plain stupid!!!!!!

  13. who ever told u that is a ****** basterd and if they said that to another race that would get ****** up being black or native american or spanish doesnt make u g*y n****.....GET UR FACTS RITE BI*CH

  14. laydlo's right, it's not meant in an offensive way, it's just a relation between the two

  15. NO!   Absolutely not!

    CJ

  16. Haha. It's just that you're in a minority. People treat you differently over something that you can't change. That's all it means.
