  1. It's survival skills in my world.

  2. Edsel Murphy's laws pertaining to the behavior of inanimate objects, have been formulated by long experience and observation. Superstition has no basis.

  3. I do not think that murphy's law is as bad as it is made out to be.  But I would have to say that I place my faith more in it than in the idea that my black cat brings me bad luck or that breaking a mirror will make me have worse luck.

  4. There is really only one law you should look for and that is "The Law of Attraction" This law governs everything that you experience in life, the good, the bad and the indifferent. What you think about and focus your attention on, you will attract to you sooner or later. There really is no such thing as Murphy's Law, Sods Law or any other superstitious law.

  5. In my opinion, it is much better. Murphy's law (everything that can go wrong, will go wrong) is much more rational, and is much like the boy scout motto (be prepared). It is much better to be prepared to deal with and solve real problems, or problems that are more likely to arise in the future, that to think silly things such as black cats and spilling salt cause bad luck. Superstitions are generally regarded as frivolous and unnecessary, however being prepared is just good character.
