Benzonatate is a drug used to make cough syrup . I would imagine if you drink a enough cough syrup it will make you drowsy and even kill you .Unless you get it pure . As being a narcotic I would say no . However benzodiazapine is a drug that drug user use to come down of a high .For more information  both of these can be looked on Google or Winkipedia .
