I have a smaller enclosure but was curious if a bigger box would be better and how big should I go?

  1. Bigger is not better. Go with the specs for the subs you have. Usually they will give you a few options for box size depending on how much room you have to work with and what the wattage is of the subs. Email me and maybe I can help you find what size box you should use.

  2. If the box is too small, use polyfil to 'fool' the subs to work as if they were in a bigger box.

It's 1/2 lb. for every cu.ft. of internal space.

  3. bigger box more boom hits low notes better and wont need as much power for it to hit

  4. Bigger is not always better. Now if you are running 2 kicker L712's then maybe but look at the specs on the speaker box.
