  1. Bio is considered renewable as products like corn can be grown next year.

Once oil is gone, it's gone and it cannot be replenished or renewed.

  2. clearly it's renewable.

    we grow it.

when we burn it the process gives off water and CO2.

which are products that are incorporated into next year's corn crop.

    however, is it good?

    that's a very different question.

it takes quite a lot of corn to produce a gallon of gasoline.

which has lead to a dramatic rise in the price of milk, bread, vegetables, etc, lately.

  3. ok it has BIO in the name therefor it  most likeyly is renewable.

  4. well biodiesel is still not good ether way.... its just putting oil fumes in the air???? it doesnt help....... they didnt make something thats going to help the invorment...... sorry and its renewable sorce they get it from a certain seed i forget witch seed but its weird.......

  5. Renewable.  Biodiesel comes from plants, which get their energy from the Sun, which is a renewable energy source (there's always going to be more energy coming from the Sun until it burns out 4.5 billion years from now).

You can always plant more biofuel crops and you can always get more energy from the Sun.  That's why they're renewable.  There's only so much oil and other fossil fuels on the planet, so they're non-renewable.

  6. it is. it is made from plants. its only drawback that it takes land to grow, diesel to harvest and energy to extract. some say that to make 1L of biofuel costs 1L of fossil fuels. That is probably not true for countries like Brasil.

  7. Renewable for sure... crops can be regrown to replace the crops taken and used for the manufacturing of biofuels.  An added bonus is the fact that plants use carbon dioxide as a source of carbon in their structures, and as we all know, we are at an all time high in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere due to the burning of fossil fuels.  I think it was already pointed out that biofuels are problematic in a world that is experiencing overpopulation, and a global food shortage.  Biodiesel can be made from a wide variety of plants and algae that grows all over the world, and is just one step in the right direction.

  8. You have countless explanations of why, but the main idea is that the Bio-fuel is renewable and comes from plant mass. And plant mass grows in cycles and can only be harvested on certain times.

    Spartawo...

  9. It is renewable. The problems occur when people use food crops such as corn or tie up valuable farm land to grow other biomass crops.

  10. renewable because use can use certain plants to make it
