Is birth control that effective?

Some birth control pills say they work up to 99%, so then is it safe for the guy to finish inside of a girl without having to worry about getting pregnant?

Even if you take it correctly NOTHING is 100% effective.

There will always be a chance of getting pregnant as many have while on birth control.

If you dont want to get some one pregnant I would consider using a condom. Because you could be that 1 %. Some one has to be the one percent. Why not be you?

Safe ?? - I can only answer from the female viewpoint.

The odds are very much in your favor but that little 1% always worried me too, so my unbendable rule is that my partner must also use a condom (no exceptions)....

If your bf is one of those macho stud types that just will not buy or use condoms, just remember that you can find another bf in much less time than it takes to have and raise one of those little  "whoops" babies.

The best birth control pill, guaranteed 100% effective is a $1 coin.  Hold it firmly between the knees and never let it drop.

the only 100% safe birth control is abstenance.  other than that, I know people who have concieved children on every other form of so called birth control and yes I do mean EVERY other form.  Pill, pull out, condoms, foam, iud everything.

from personal experience, no. i got pregnant after being on the pill for 6 years - which doctors say is physically impossible. anything can effect this, from alcohol intake, to vomiting and diarrhea. After much consultation with a contraceptive expert, i finally opted for implanon, the contraceptive implant. the contraceptive injection, or a mirena if you have already had children are also highly effective options. hope this helps.

it's only 99% effective if you take it correctly! don't miss pills and take it around the same time everyday.  if you do that, you should have no problems.

yup, its safe, as long as the birth control pill is taken properly everyday at the same time (within 2 hours) if you mess up taking it use another form of protection for 7 days.
