  2. Yes ...It can definitely absorb the earth . No, it is not near the soalr system anyways & it is difficult to spot the Black Hole as it absorbs all the light being a black body & hence doesnot reflect any.

  5. No, the closest candidate is about 3500 LY away. That is very far away. It will also never get much closer than these 3500 LY.

  7. I think the nearest *detected* black hole is about 1600 light years away, which is a very long ways off.

    If a black hole was close enough, yes - it could consume the entire solar system.
