Is black raspberry ice cream an east coast thing??

Because I have yet to find it in a grocery store in California. I know Ben & Jerry's has that Dave Matthews ice cream that is black raspberry ice cream swirled with sweet cream ice cream & fudgy brownies. But I just want the plain black raspberry! And who the h**l like DMB anyway??

It's really popular in the Northwest....where Black Raspberry is often referred to as "Black Cap" flavor.

Why not make your own.  I do every year when Boysenberries are in season   (And yeah....I listen to DMB if I want to fall asleep...I don't get it at all)
