  1. no, well i'm not acctualy sure, but i think that its blue, untill it hits air, then it is Red, but i think its real color is red. its not blue in your body, just in your veins.

  2. no, your veins look blu through your skin.

  3. No. Blood is actually just darker red when it has no oxygen, and when it is oxygenated it looks as it does when we bleed.

  4. arterial blood is bright red b/c the blood is delivering the oxygen from ur lungs to ur body. venous blood appears dark b/c the oxygen has been delivered and the blood is going back to get more. think of it kinda like a delivery truck carrying its packages, delivering, then going back for another set of packages

  5. Blood in the arteries is bright red from the oxygen content, blood in the veins is dark red from the lack of oxygen. Blood in veins can look "blue" when viewed through the skin because of light refraction and other factors.

When a person donates blood, it comes from a vein, not an artery. It is also not exposed to air, or it would be contaminated and need to be disposed of. It also happens to be dark red, NOT blue.

  6. its only blue in far places like ur fingers and toes, but near ur heart its red

  7. No, blood is always a shade of red.

  8. it is blue without oxygen -look at your skin and see the veins.  once oxygen has been introduced, it becomes red.

  9. No, it's just a darker shade of red in your bloodstream. It looks blue through your skin. When it comes in contact with the air, it becomes a lighter red

  10. Blood is red, no exceptions.
