Is bollywood popular in Austria?

Just wondering if people of Austria have ever heard of the Hindi film industry, Bollywood(A Indian film Industry)? Do you guys find it silly? Also, there tends to be a stereotype that all Bollywood films are musicals...Do you guys believe this stereotype?

No, we definetely don´t know anyting about Bollywood.

No it's definitely not popular in Austria. If it would be they would show those movies on TV sometimes but it's never on. I personally find the sound(singing) annoying! But that's just my opinion! If somebody likes it, Why not.

No.  In fact I never even heard of Bollywood until I saw one being played in some Indian restaurant in the UK.  It looks stupid and every movie is the same. Some guy and girl meet, dance around fields and sing. With the same woman singing in every movie.  Very boring and not original.  And the fact that the women have to sleep with the producers to get in the movies is enough for me to boycott bollywood.

Well it is not too popular over here, but yes we have heared about it.

Me personally I do like some of the Bollywood movies and I agree with you it is a stereotype they are all musicals..

Especially I like the big star 'Sharuk Kahn'(hope I got the spelling correct :-).
