  1. The phrase "bond dissociation energy", or (even better) "bond dissociation enthalpy" are the more precise, scientifically rigorous terms.  "Bond energy" and "bond strength" are a bit more colloquial.  But yes, essentially they all mean the same thing: the energy required to homolytically separate two atoms in a molecule.
