Im 20 and have been not been offered surgery, as my squint in my right eye is too small for surgery, but annoyingly large enough to notice. Just wondering if anybody knew whether botox was possible to correct a squint.

  1. As an eye muscle surgeon, we typically do not use Botox for small amounts of strabismus, or eye muscle disorders. Botox paralyzes muscles temporarily and can help when trying to correct very large disorders from stroke, tumor and serious disease. A small disorder is usually amenable to traditional surgery or to glasses with prism which will control your appearance. Hope this is helpful!

  2. I have this problem too, I was told I couldn't have surgery as mine like yours is too small to require any interference.

In responce to your question though, yes you can get botox for the fixing of a squint. Sadly though you'll have to pay to get it done privately.

    Good luck.

  3. Apologies if this is kind of commercial but if you are in the south east of England my employer is doing free open evenings on Botox, Smartlipo, Restylane and other procedures like this. They're totally free and it's not about the "hard sell", surgeons will just talk about their speciality and then hang around for questions & answers.
