  1. Well I  myself is a fan of boxing!! And I think there should be a middle weight!! Cause think u could get hurt if ur fighting some1 bigger than u but u can hurt some1 smaller than u. So ya I would make a big deal about it!! But not as big as it is right now!!

  2. First and foremost the best boxers were always in the non-heavyweight divisions. Mayweather( a former lightweight) was considered the the best in the game a month ago until he retired so i don't understand why it is the weight division or just Manny that you are referring to in a low point. The heavyweight division has always been considered the marquee division but the most skilled fighters have been in lower weight classes. if Manny is not thwe best then that would make cotto(welterweight) or pavlik(middleweight) the best boxer

  3. Yes!

    It is dead!

I fully agree with you, it's just sad now.

those glorious days where champions were born are now gone.

Now all the boxers just go on to star in magazines and make crappy rap cds.

  4. it's cyclical of course, although the high points are a little less higher in recent years with the explosion of MMA

obviously, a de la Hoya v. Cotto fight would resurrect boxing from the "dead" right away, although the prospects are somewhat dim beyond that without any name fighters, especially in the heavyweights

I'm not sure what the solution is, beyond marketing young undefeated champions. but then guys like paul williams suffer stunning defeats and there goes that.

  5. Yes thanks to the likes of people like Don King it's over!!!!! Worthless piece of c**p he is. The staged fights of these pathetic loser have allowed a new breed of fighting into the light welcome UFC. Why would the average fight fan want to see someone with 12 oz boxing gloves fight when they can see guys with practically bare fists and anything goes instead? No contest.

  6. YES!  I haven't seen a good boxing match in a few years.  I think when Tyson lost his mind the sport went down hill.

  7. boxing has been dead for awhile... it's not as exciting as it used to be.  we've moved onto other fight sports like MMA for it's quick paced, high intensity, and brutal knock outs and submissions... watching boxing now is as exciting as watching my grass grow.  unless the boxing world gets some more interesting fighters, better start digging the grave as the nails in the coffin have been pounded.

  8. it is popular in my school but i think that it is dieing out

  9. I dont know whether yours is a question or is it a statement, irrespective of that,, what people say is not important, its what you do in the ring that ultimately counts.. you can talk the talk but until you walk the walk, you aint the man..

  10. I don't think its dead yet but it is certainly dying.  I must agree that a few bad apples definitely ruined the sport.  I recently started watching Manny Pacman after the Morales 2 because of some of the hype that my filipino friends were telling me  and I was amaze and excited to watch his non technical boxing style.  I have since followed and watch his older other fights via you tube and I must say that he brings excitement to the sport, like a Mike Tyson "mini me". He even speaks funny but not in a disrespecting way, no fun intended. Its like a street fighter coming into the ring to kick some professionals' ***. You can't get any better than that.

Heavy weights are boring right now because there is no quality fighter. Just because they are heavy and can punch does not make them the better athlete.

Your a boxer? Where do you stand as an athlete?
