  1. It will help, but you'll need to do more than just hit a bag to get lean. You'll have to watch your diet, maybe get on a good weight training program (since musle burns more calories throughout the day than fat) and be persistent in your training.

  2. Road work, cardio will get you lean.

  3. Yes of course boxing is good exercise for getting lean every time you sweat you are losing a little fat and it becomes muscles. It takes time but you will get lean.

  4. It can help, but as mentioned watch your diet.  Work the bag for 2-3 minute intervals and add some other exercises to spice things up and keep you interested.  And always wear gloves and wrap your hands to protect them.

  5. boxing with a person is good for getting lean

you haveta pretend the bag is punching u to get lean

    its all about the footwork

  6. It sure is. I remember not going into my boxing gym for 2 months, but I was still running, lifting weights, doing cardio, etc. and after one boxing session my abs were sore for a few days.

I don't really sweat when I run or lift weights, but I'm dripping while I train. I also sweat a little bit when I do cardio.

Boxing would definitely help you get lean, but what you eat is more important.
