Is bread good for you?

Hey guys i was just wondering if you eat bread everyday is that bad? because i eat it everyday but not with every meal hahaha. just for breakfast on the weekends. And for dinner also. Today i had a cheese sandwhich with yogurt and some orange juice for dinner. And no i did not put alot of cheese. Is this healthy? And no im not on a diet. I am 5'2 and wiegh almost 120 pounds. Which im pretty sure is not fat. what do you thik? I would greatly appreciate it if anyone would answer! thanks!

  1. Bread is very good for you and is often referred to as the staff of life.  You cannot live on bread alone so you do need other food as well.  Bread contains a bit of the B vitamins and a bit of vitamin E but only in small amounts.  Bread is rich in potassium and also contains a bit of calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.  Bread also contains plenty of fiber.


  2. depends on what kind you eat...regular white bread probably isn't the best choice...try 100% whole grain

    but whole wheat is good, has about 5 grams of dietaty fiber which is really good.

  4. Yeah it is. But make sure you eat whole-grain or whole-wheat every day. White bread isn't healthy and it has a lot of starch in it. However Most commercial "whole-wheat" or "brown" bread produced in the U.S. is primarily composed of bleached white flour with the addition of enough brown flour to be brown in appearance. But I'm pretty sure it's still healthier than white bread.
