  1. some.

    read the ingredients label.

  2. I buy a wholemeal bread at a local ethnic market and it's vegan.   Many of the german imported breads are vegan.

  3. It is pretty mandatory nowadays for companies to list "made with milk and egg products" below the ingredients. If they dont, check the ingredients and look for things like "whey powder", "whey protein", things like that.

And to the person who said wonderbread is vegan...yes it usually is, but you would be better off eating cardboard since wonderbread is so over-processed. They process all the nutrients out and then add them back in...but there are NO whole grains in it anymore and it is basically just glue for your gut (even the wonderbread "whole grain" is such a joke. Theres not a whole grain in it, they just grind it all up and re-add the nutrients).

Most breads these days ARE vegan (my brother is allergic to milk and eggs and can have most breads)

  4. NO.

Bread is made with milk, butter, eggs.... All of which are not vegan foods.

  5. It depends on what bread you buy. Always read the label first. I'm already in that habit since I am vegetarian but at first I kept on forgetting! Hope this helps =)

  6. Not unless you count the rare Polynesian floating bread. It is actually a species of quail.

  7. Simple bread, like French, has no eggs, butter or milk.

  8. There are actually a lot of breads that are vegan. Just read the label. What i though was wierd is that most of the breads i look at dont contain milk or eggs, they contain honey....so watch out!

(whole foods is a great place to buy fresh bread! Almost all of its vegan!!!)

  9. usually bread is made with milk

  10. Actually, many/most breads are vegan. I couldn't believe this til I started checking the labels.

Read the label before you buy.

  11. well home made bread and bakery breads usually have milk/eggs in them..

but store bought bread like wonderbread and stuff..thats vegan.  they dont use milk or eggs...

but just to be safe, check the ingredients..
