Is burgundy too much for summer, 2009?

My friend is getting married next summer and she and her fiance both like burgundy. If that's not appropriate could you please suggest something close to that. I'm the maid of honor and I need some help. (She asked for my opinion). I would really appreciate it. Also, would it make a difference if she used pink with burgundy, would it be more acceptable in summer? I know it's a fall and winter color.

no not i think something like hazel or more goldih would suit it or a light pale yellow

burgandy is just fine if thats what she wants! if u want to "summer" it up try adding hints of gold or bronze to it.

i went to an early summer wedding where the colors were burgundy and purples/pinks and it was gorgeous. i think it would be perfectly acceptable if you get the right shades and a good balance. you should definitely suggest lighter pinks and lavenders to go with it :)
