Question:

Is business insurance a good idea for a small design company?

I have a small design company (sub-s; only two employees, me and my partner) and I keep hearing from friends/colleagues that getting business insurance is a must, since we might be liable for a lot of weird issues (websites being hacked, bad printing, bad contracts, etc.)

So is it really a good idea to get and if so, where do I go to begin? costs? issues? etc?

  1. One of my friends asked me this kind of questions before,I found helpful here.http://insurance.online-frees.info/insur...

  2. Yes, insurance for any company dealing with the public is always needed. You never know who will try to s***w you over, always cover your butt!

  3. I sell insurance and the answer is yes you need it, it is to protect you your business agianst acts of nature not under your control.....like, flooding, freeway construction (customers not being able to get to your business). Its is a must for any business owner.  You will have to call your agent a get a quote and he or she  will work out the specifics with you.  Premiums are collected first in a down payment and will be annually. Your agent will alos be able to go over the limits or coverage amounts with you.

  4. I run a small Graphic Design Company and recently had the pleasure of searching for some business insurance.

The only insurance that's compulsary by law is employers liability, but it's normally a good idea to cover all aspects of the business.  I bought a package which includes Public Liability, Employers Liability, Contents, Legal Cover and all other sorts of things.

I phoned around various companies and found the process quite mind numbing - some companies take days to get back to you.  I eventually purchased an Office Package with Endsleigh Insurance as they managed to give me a good price there and then.  I initially went on their website but had to ask a few questions so called and spoke to a lad who was really helpful.

I paid £330 but I suppose the price will depend on what you want to cover.
