Is buying an airsoft gun off ebay for 215$ worth it?

It depends on which one it is and how used it is.

ask the seller how many rounds have been through it and how the externals are. If it has wear externally and has had more than say 4000 rounds through it, it's really not worth it.

you can buy one new for 270 with free shipping (many airsoft websites have free shipping on orders over 100 bucks)

if you could give us a link, that'd be great.

also, whether you buy it should depend on which model it is.

If it has the normal m4/m16 handguards (that is, no ris unit)

then your decision should be based on how heavily it was used.

If it has Ris or a crane stock, then it's worth it, unless it's totally beat down.

I wouldn't buy airsoft guns off ebay because I have bought a Desert Eagle for a great $30 but it came to be nothing like the photos.  You'll be better off getting them from outdoor sports shops for about the same price with a pretty good guarentee that the gun will last a good while

if its full metal, automatic, with case, accessories, and about a thousand shots included, yes its worth it.

i myself have bought about 3 guns off ebay in the past week, and they all were under or around $15 - they were all more plastic than metal mind you, but you should search for better prices (possibly search just the "Buy It Now" auctions)

i found an AK47 full auto made of mostly metal and it topped around $70 not including shipping, which i suppose is a nice deal (i didnt take it though)

No, your better offf buying it from shops new. Most don't look like the ones in the pictures that the seller gives on E-bay
