Is caen university in France good? And how about the city?

depends of what you want. if you want to study, that could be a good choice (but there wd many others in many others french cities).

if you want to party, enjoy student life (i mean farniente) and visiting france, i dont think, cause it's a small town, and it's not quite close of other famous parts of france (especially if you want to go in south, west or north), but brittany and mont-saint-michel (and normandy obviously).

The university is good (average compared to some others in france) and the city is just wonderful.  There is a lot of old architecture, churches, and roads all filled with history.

Depends on what you're looking for.  The university is accredited and everyone I know who went there had a wonderful experience.  Caen itself is very rainy and has a different culture than the mediterranean culture that many people attribute to France (more correctly associated with Monaco).  But it's a university-centered town and there are plenty of people university-aged and events that cater to that demographic.  You'll have a fantastic time if you're going there!
