  1. Well if Mr. Spider knows not to go West you're safe.  California is on the West coast.

  2. No... California is on the west coast.. no way is it midwest..

  3. no but i know the brown recluse spider is in Oregon because I live there and got bit by one, and that is the northwest

  4. California is not apart of the midwest.  It is apart of the West Coast.  Midwestern states are Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio (maybe), Missouri, states like that.

  5. No, Midwest, for some strange reason, refers to the heartland-the middle states of the country- Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Ohio, Wisconsin part of Michigan and maybe a few others.  Southeast would be Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, the Carolinas.  California is west (or southwest).

  6. No, it is not. California is located on the west coast, bordering the Pacific Ocean, Nevada, Arizona, and Oregon.

  7. ~~~No, California is in the west. Dr. Bush at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, CA a renowned Doctor specializing in venom, has stated there are no brown recluse spiders in California because they can't live in our climate.~~~

  8. See the map below to see where brown recluses live. They do live in some areas in the southern Midwest states, but they are generally not found there as well.
