I'm really not talking trash about any of those teams I'm just wondering. Texas and New York both only have 2 teams (I realize that new york used to have a third team).

I live in texas, so i realize that Texas is really a lot more of a football state...in fact id bet that if you asked hundreds of sports fans which they liked better, football or baseball, in texas only about 20 percent would say baseball (if that many) so i do understand about texas only having 2 teams. But anyway back to my question, Is Cali. really that crazy about baseball to need 5 teams?

  1. I could see 2 or 3 teams but 5 seems a little ridiculous. I mean look at Michigan, they only have 1. Do you know how many other states only have 1 too?

  2. California is a big state, but doesn't need 5 baseball teams

  3. As long as the state's population can support 5 teams, I say go for it.

  4. base ball is a laid back sport and cali peeps are laid back. plus it's a large state mmkay

  5. They deserve it. California loves baseball and usually produce some of the best players in Little League and Major Leagues.

  6. I think that California could survive with just 3 teams and one of them should go to Massachusetts and play in boston and the other should go to Maine, Give New England some more baseball teams!!

  7. They should take the 2 teams from Florida and put them in California and their stadiums might get half filled. Seriously, Rays and Marlin fans are utterly pathetic.

  8. Who cares. Does Ohio really need 2 baseball teams? i mean come on!
