Is call of duty 3 anything like call of duty 4?

ive played the fourth one before and found it was really good, i moslty like the multiplayer... i was wondering if the third one was still as fun or is the 4th one completely diferent?.... also i only have a ps2 so i cant get the 4th one

The 3rd and 4th are very different, 3rd is another WW2 shooter, that era is over after COD5. 4th is a whole different experience, different weapons, different system with the whole make your skills sets. The difference is enough for a blind man to notice.

Cod3 has been the worst of them all so far, its just another boring WWII shooter. Cod4 is wayy better.

the 3rd one is really boring compared to the 4th. COD3 takes place in WWII, so the weapons are c**p and the levels are boring.

I own 3 and my brother owns 4 in my opinion 3 is alot more fun online (xbox live)

Call of Duty 3 is awful because it was developed by Treyarch. Call of Duty games come out every year, and to keep up with the pace, two different developers take turns creating them. CoD 4 was done by Infinity Ward so that alone will make the games quality much higher. Treyarch is making CoD 5..I think I will stay away from that one.

It's same style of shooting but different guns and features like trip mines (claymores), C4, rpgs, unlockable scopes, colors for guns and different types of grenades, stun flash and smoke. There aren't any vehicles on multiplayer though.

Don't listen to everyone else, bunch of fanboy/girls. COD3 is a good game, plot for the story is weak. but multiplayer is good. Everything that was in COD4 started in 3, like sprinting perks and ect. though COD4 started to custom class thing and choosing weapons you want before a match and ect. each class in COD3 has their own specials, like support gunner can set up LMG on bipod's and they can give crates of ammo to team members, or medics can revived the injured ect. multiplayer was good. it's not on the level of COD4 but it's good enough till you get the COD4.
