  1. If you are a beginner, try Shawnee, Tanglewood or Mount Peter. Actually Mount Peter is the easiest of the three.

  2. camelback is way easier than mountain creek for beginners - i would suggest hunter mountain upstate NY they are the only mountain with a learning center for beginners. They have 3 really easy runs for beginners to master the basic's before they move up to the bigger mountain. You can also try Okemo Mountain, and Shawnee is always icy. hope i helped!

  3. Bristol mt. in Rochester is a great place for all skiers and they have a bunny hill that is good to or you could go to Swain south of Rochester or Brantling is in Sodus east of Rochester half way to Syracuse. and all of them are cheap and have some easy trails.

  4. Camelback is easier then Mountain Creek IMHO, and Mountain Creek is also another easy resort. Have you considered Hidden Valley? Smaller lines, decent terrain for New Jersey, and really cheap lift tickets. It is where I learned to ski back 15 years ago.

In fact, there is one double black diamond on camelback, and it is about the same as a black diamond on hunter mountain. I skied it, thought I was the man, only to go to a real double black my first time and slide down the entire d**n mountain.... Stay away from the snow tubing if your old enough to ask a question on answers, thats something I wouldn't do after the age of 8. Unless of course you like that atmosphere.

  5. The Poconos are a great place to learn to ski. That's where I learned.

  6. go to Jack Frost or Big Boulder in the Poconos. Big Boulder is open later on the weekends and has easy slopes. Try it out and good luck
