Is canabis addictive?

They (the goverment ect) say it isnt, Well why does it make people so angry when they havent got any or have ran out, I think it makes you chilled out whan you smoke it but violent if you cant get any, does it vary from person to person? Whats your oppinion based on experiance?

The stuff isn't addictive itself, but the psychological effect that you get from it is addictive. Because people want to feel chilled or high, that's why they get mad if they don't have any or run out. Substance in canabis isn't addictive.

Cannabis IS MENTALLY ADDICTIVE, no government says it isn't. It makes people angry when they haven't got it because they become dependent upon it! (it causes a range of mental issues including paranoia, Schizophrenia and memory loss) It's also worth mentioning that Cannabis increases the cardiovascular action of the heart; increases in BP and pulse..cannabis can cause brain atrophy, contains more tar than tobacco, and it also has a higher concentration of carcinogens (cancer-causing agents). Cannabis also affects memory and co-ordination as well as causing erectile issues.

Anything can be addictive. It has no addictive drug in it (Like nicotine) but any feeling or taste can become addictive, not by the body itself but by the person.

The answer is that it depends upon the person who is smoking it. Some people can smoke everyday for a year and stop with no negative effects. Others can seem to be addicted after smoking it only once. There is an actual disease called Chemical Dependency. This is where a person's brain may not produce the correct amount of chemicals and when that person does drugs or drinks they feel as you or I would normally. This leads to a fallout when they stop using the drug causing the anger or depression you see.

erm, all my buddies smoke, none of them get agro when they don have. i doubt that you get addicted, when you smoke it a lot, you jus feel anxious to get high again but you also don hav withdrawel from it, my bf hav been smoking 4 two years and his never angry, so i really doubt it makes a person angry unless they suffering from a disorder maybe braught on by the weed, like depression etc unless they coke addicts *** well, but no weed is not addictive and does not make you angry wen you don have.

I was Stoned non stop for about 16 years........ I forgot what it was like to be normal !!

I still smoke it now........ but actually feel quite good and sort of Alive when I dont smoke it now-days.

it's not physically addictive.  if anyone tells you it is, they should do their research.  it can be mentally addictive though.  people get angry because there are hormones produced by marijuana, and when the hormones are withdrawn people can get a little moody (very similar to when a girl is getting mood swings when they stop taking birth control, and when a woman is pregnant and has new hormones being introduced to her).  effects of hormone withdrawal almost always include irritability.  also, not to mention they're mad because they can't smoke and they're used to doing it, so it can be a little frustrating just because they can't get what they're wanting.  it defly does vary from person to person, as does most other things.

Every drug does vary from person to person.

The government etc say that it isn't chemically addictive. That means its not exactly your body that craves the drug. However, you can become pschologically dependant (to anything really). Thats what causes these people to become violent and react in not the best of ways. They are so used to copying with life with the drug, that without it they may crack under pressure.

Its mentaly addictive more than physical,ive smoked it for about 8 years.I could write whole book about it but i'll keep it short.Its mentaly addictive if you keep smoking it over the years you become dependant on it.It makes you paranoid and gives you short term memory loss.There is allot of different types of weed out there and i doubht the government has tested them all,there is hash which is called cannabis resin and the dealers or supliers add chemicals to the dope like shoe polish,only about 10 percent of what you smoke is actually cannabis the other 90 is unknown chemicals.The green stuff we get here is grown by people that add chemicals to it to help it grow,any of these chemicals that the suppliers add to the weed could be addictive.I hope i got my point across,ive smoked it for a long time now and i honestly wish i didnt, it was good at first but its done nothing but made me paranoid and lazy but i cant just stop smoking it because im mentaly addicted.
