Cancun is fun if you ar twenty something if you are a little older I would suggest the riveria maya which is south of cancun. there are a lot of night clubs and that is what the kids like. the beaches are great. but it's one big party:)

I haven't been there personally, but my friend has twice. I'm not sure what there is to do, but he said it was pretty fun.

its fun and beautiful, go to downtown cancun too, go to beaches they are beauty, and go to Xel-Ha i think its a water park and Che-itzna are ruins, you can also go to playa tres mujeres and also go to playa del carmen they have the best food there

There are a lot to do, party, sight seeing and shopping. Go down to and do some water sports

cancun is basically a huge resort city/town

there are a lot of great resturants right on the water

many hotels have ocean views and most hotels own that land around the beach so can swimming in the ocean every day

but if you are looking for a real mexican experiance then i suggest Pueorto de calo or Tulum both of which are close to cancun and provide a more cultural experiance

If you are looking for a resort town with hundreds of great restaurants, resorts, clubs, bars and entertainment options, then yes, Cancun is fun. My favorite part about Cancun, aside from the Caribbean Sea, is the amount of restaurants there are. Seriously, you would be amazed that there are a few hundred restaurants and cantinas in a 20 Kilometer long area. The shopping is excellent as well, with well-stocked shopping malls and outdoor flea markets. The nightlife is also something that you should not miss in Cancun, most of which is around an area the size of 2 km known as the Party Center.

Tours are abundant in Cancun as well. There are great eco parks, Mayan ruin sites, dolphin swims and depending on when you go, they may be running the swim with whale sharks. I think if you are seriously entertaining the idea of going to Cancun, you should pick yourself up a good travel guide so you can learn about the area.
