  1. In addition to CO2, methane,ground-level ozone,CFCs, nitrous oxide and water vapour(but this varies with time, place and altitude as this is the only varying constituent of air) also contribute to change of global temperature.

  2. If you believe the alarmists.  BTW, the temperature of the globe is ALWAYS changing.  It always has and it always will and there is not one thing you or anyone else can do about it.

  3. no

  4. No. The natural gas methane is a far more effective greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. This means that, for us humans, it is a much more serious threat than carbon dioxide.

Truly enormous quantities of methane lie trapped in the Arctic permafrost regions of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Scandinavia, Russia, Siberia, Mongolia and China. If this permafrost should melt, as it gives every indication of doing, in the next 50 years, much of this methane could be released into the atmosphere.

There are also vast quantities of methane just below the shallow waters of most of the world's oceans and seas and under the Arctic and Antarctic ice. If the temperature of the oceans should continue to rise as it has been doing in the last 50 years much of this methane would be released into the atmosphere.

The effect of so much methane being released into the atmosphere would be to drive up global temperatures to a degree never experienced by humans or many other living things before. This would probably be catastrophic for most life on land and in the oceans as well. We would all be facing what is called a mass extinction event of the sort that killed the dinosaurs and more than 80% of all living creatures some 65 million years ago. Not a happy prospect at all.

  5. no there are many. one comes to mind. chloroflorocarbons. or CFCs. that is what is in most home air conditioners. also in half of all cars and trucks in the us. if they leak out, it depleats the ozone layer.

  6. no, even water vapor and methane are greehouse gasses

  7. Carbon dioxide is only a small fraction of the equation as it relates to global warming.  Methane gas which is released by a thawing warming planet is many times more dangerous.  Methane gas is the true real danger to the planet earth.  Carbon dioxide which has been debated amongst scientist upon mankind is a false deception to the real truth which is Methane Gas.

    I hope this helps.
