  1. Carnival Cruises' activities are aimed more for young adults and children.  They're nicknamed "party boats" for good reason.  Friends who cruised with Carnival have reported  a clothing-optional sundeck, and swinger's get-togethers, though I have no personal knowledge of such.

We have cruised with Princess, NCL, and Royal Caribbean, and prefer Princess because they have excellent shore tours, and the best food on mid- to larger sized ships.  We're not much into the extravaganza shows, but their dance bands are very good.

  2. yes is for children i went on carnival and is a lot of young people and children the best one is princess cruise

  3. Carnival is for active people of any age.  There are children's programs and adult activities.  Carnival's strong point is its ability to offer non-stop activities for people who like to be active.

For example, look at the following photos of the pool deck on the Carnival Glory ...

You can see that there are two pools (plus a third one in the back) and a very nice water slide.

Here is the rear pool, which can be covered if the weather is bad.  Top closed ...

    Top open ...

And here are a couple of photos of the special section for the younger kids ...

The older kids have their own club known a Club O2.

There is also an arcade ...

Carnival is for kids of all ages (even the ones who are over eighteen years old).

  4. We chose Carnival because they are kid friendly.

There will be lots kids at the pool, at the shows, in the dining rooms.  However, at about 10 pm, they restrict the kids from the dance clubs and of course, they can't go "into" the casinos but they sure mill around outside of the casino.  There is an adult only pool.  While most of the Carnival ships I have been on have a topless sunbathing deck, the only topless people up there were old, fat, bald guys.

Now, they have plenty of activities for adults but if having kids around during your vacation would be an issue, you might want to consider one of the other lines.

The only cruise line that is a children's cruise that accomdates adults is the Disney cruise.  Mickey Mouse overload.

I see fewer kids getting off the Holland America ships but more senior adults.  There are almost as many kids on the Royal Caribbean ships.

  5. I have gone on 6 Carnival cruises, both with and without my kids , and we have all had awsome times no matter what. My 12 year old is hooked on cruising (just like her mom) and choose a crusie over Disney for our family vacation this year. I have been on both RCL and CArnival and prefr Carnival. I have found thier food and service much better and the onboard activites more interesting and varied. I travel yearly with a group from work (trhere are 10 of us) and we have cruised on both  lines. Carnival's deck nightlife carried on late into the night, where as RCL was pretty much done by 10p. Have fun, with or without kids and Enjoy

  6. Carnival is good for everyone.  We have taken our teenage children, and we have taken our two year old grandson.  All had a good time.  There is Camp Carnival for the youngsters, disco's for the dancers, a casino, all you can eat food.

Vegas type shows, singers, dancers, comedians, magicians.
