  1. You can find sealant in most pet stores that is definately safe for pets. It's better to play it safe.

  2. Wood is the perfect media for mold and bacteria growth.  We won't discuss splinter issues, etc.  (And let's all hope it isn't cured, or Arsenic treated.)

If the caulk isn't listed as animal safe; it could leech fumes which are detrimental to your Beardie over time.

I have one lizard which delights in being retarded, and licks 1/2 the day at a silicone joint in its reptile tank.

Odd behavior?  Who can say?  Can you be positive your Beardie won't be "as weird"?

Homemade is a good thing - if it's animal safe.

Do your research, and contact the manufacturer about an issue concerning curing and ingesting.

I hope this has been helpful.

  3. No you should be fine. i would use the clear silicone but it should be fine but make sure it is all the way dry.

  4. nopers! lol

it owuld only be bad for fish if like the caulk was to touch the water...fish are hard to keep !! lol for the ph part.

  5. if its dry its fine
