  1. Yes it is safe, especially because you're going on a cruise. The itinerary goes to only to safe places and the city tours you get in the cruise's tour booth are also very safe. Tell your mum that it is safe, of course what's on the news is the horrible things about any country. Just imagine if people will stop going to New York just because of the attacks, gas pipes exploding and crime rate high. Tourism in Central and South America are well respected.

  2. yes it is the safe place  is nicaragua

  3. yeah, but just dont be stupid. just have some common sense and u will be fine, after all, i was

  4. Visited all the countries you mentioned by own transportation having to small kids (9and5) with me. Used common sense didnt do things we would do at home, watched over eachother but didnt let fear be the master of our trip. You going on a cruise (organised) if it need be and it is thought to be to dangereous they will change the route, but being there doesnt mean nothing can happen. But to be honest arent there any places in your home country outsiders say it is dangereous (sometimes)

  5. it's safe...but pay attention and trust your instincts.

  6. yes especially bcuz of the high tourism, you should definitley go to puerto rico though

  7. Yes, but you have to be careful not to do anything stupid that might offend anybody.

  8. I am a gringo and live in Honduras.  I have traveled to most of the countries on your list.  These areas are as safe as some areas and citys in the US.  Just use good judgment.  In the tourist areas the worst you may encounter is an occasional rip-off vendor.

  9. Ummm... typical American that lives in a bubble. There is no country called "Columbia" by the way.

  10. Cruise ships go to the nice parts of the countries. Tell her not to worry, she is not gonna be attacked or anything of that extreme. Tell her it will be fun to see how other cultures live and the cruise it self will be wonderful..

    Take care.,,

  11. It all depends on the places you go to, I live in Honduras and we do not hear on the news of things that tourist may had suffered.

I guess all places are the same, most violence occur on specific areas, which you should avoid. Generally this areas are not the tourist places. Hope you enjoy your trip and also include Honduras in your plans
