Is ceral ok to eat the day of a race?

  2. I suggest that you wake up a little extra early that day and eat what you are used to eating for breakfast. If cereal is something you usually eat it should be fine.

    Don't be tempted to overeat. In fact, eating a little bit less is just fine.

    The key is to eat something that is both healthy and easily digested. Trying something new is best left for non-race days.

  3. Eat something, and eat it early enough so it is not going to bother you while running.

    Milk can be bad since it may affect your stomach.

    Oatmeal is good without the milk and butter.

    Granola bars are good, so is fruit.

    Some people can eat about 2 hours before the race and some can not eat even 4 hours before without it bothering them.

    Find out what works for you, stay away from meats, protein, and milk products.

  4. I agree, milk could bother your stomach. Before running, it's an advantage to have a fulfilled energy level. For example some toast would be good for the race day's breakfast. Drink some liquid at your breakfast because it is an disadvantage to drink about half an hour before your race(full stomach effect) . Make sure your stomach is not full just before the race-not starving but-. Good luck on your race.
