  1. Your right, camomile tea is good for leg cramps, and other cramps. The hippurate in camomile tea is said to have infection-fighting qualities. For centuries it has been used for menstrual cramps and the common cold. The only other "side effect" of the tea is that it can be a direretic (makes you go to the toilet a lot). Other than that, its good.

You can bu camomile tea like a normal tea bag. Twinings do a nice one. Just put it into the cup or mug and fill with hot water. It can be used with milk and sweeteners, but I would suggest just using with lemon.

    Enjoy!

  2. I have not found chamomile good for anything but that it is slightly calming.

What I have found effective is a 500 mg tablet of calcium  (or a Tums tablet) and try with it 250 mg of magnesium.

As far as an herbal remedy Horse Chestnut is supposed to be the treatment of choice for leg cramps as it increases circulation to the extremities, but I have not tried it.

  3. don;t know about the tea. make sure you get enough water. cramps are often because of dehydration. make sure you have enough sodium (water retention) and potassium.

    sodium - salt

    potassium- banana

  4. you can get  the tea already in a bag at any super market. Yes it will relax you as well as stretching your legs. when you extend your legs pull your feet forward as far as you can . Then do it one leg at a time . Do it in 15 reps . Do this all day long, Remember to take deep breaths at first that will set the mood.

I hope this will help you ! It does for me.

                                    Debs : )

  5. you need potassiam.  when i eat 3 bananas a day i do not get the restless legs, when I don't, i lay in bed and jerk.... i can not take potassiam supplements due to other meds, so i am up a creek without a paddle.

  6. Usually leg cramps is due to a lack of potassium in the diet.

But if you want to try chamomile tea buy the chamomile tea already in bags and steep it in hot water according to the directions on the package.

  7. The tea may have some possitive effects on the leg cramps but another help for nocturnal leg cramps is vitamin E along with calcium.

If neither calcium nor vitamin E gives you relief, you may benefit from magnesium, potassium, or vitamin A.

  8. water and potassium will help

  9. Chamomile will make you sleepy, so only drink it before you go to bed (just heat water and put in the tea bag to steep). Bananas have potassium which will help reduce the lactic acid produced when your leg is cramping. Eat bananas.. it works.. I promise.
