Hey, i generally use my yahoo account in net centres and i really dont trust those people. So, i just check my mail account and then, if i change my password, nobody can gain access to my account right..? i mean, even if someone did hack my ID, and i managed to change my password, he can never again open my ID unless he has my password rite...?

in short, If i open my ID on a public computer and then come home and change the password, i guess i am safe right..?

Thanks!

  1. NO. Never check any personal information on a public computer.

  2. Nope, never do this on a public computer or public wireless access point. You have many many chances to steal your ID.

From the public computer to home you may have a password change and account hijacking, these things happen everyday.

  3. It's never happened to me. In Best Buy when they used to let you use internet, i went on myspace and yahoo account but never been hacked. Didn't even change password so don't worry. But make sure you logged off.

  4. Yes, if you chance your password immediately after using the account, you are safe.

But honestly, if you are that paranoid, you should not be accessing your email from public terminals.
