  1. My biggest gripe with changing to digital TV is that you're locked in to paying a monthly fee to a company that can raise that fee at any time! In this economy, I can't afford that extra expense. I just posed a question regarding the converter box we'll have to get. If you decide to stay with analog will the converter box improve your picture? I say stay with analog, & get the converter box. - unless you're rich.

  2. Considering you will no longer get any analog and something being better than nothing, then yes it's better.  Analog doesn't accommodate HD, so that's better too.

  3. Yes.

You won't have any TV if you use an antenna after 2009 if you don't

If you have cable, your cable company will probably have this all taken care of for you.

You can get a digital converter box.

You can get coupons from the Government worth $40.00 off one of these converter boxes (This is only for antenna connections, these boxes are not compatible with cable, and the cable company will take care of this for you)

See the website for free coupons at http://www.dtv2009.gov/

  4. The best thing to go is to go with Directv,  Their the least expensive and the best Quality and the best sound.

I have had cable for over 6 years and then i finally wised up and went to directv and let me tell you.  Way better picture and the best Digital sound.

Then the best part is I cut my bill in half.

    best of luck!

    Ray

  5. Yes, you get a lot more channels and your transmission will be much more clear.
