Is channel 7's racism over the last few days even legal?

I have seen and heard a lot that has made my blood boil over the last few days, all of which was on channel 7 relating to their olympic coverage.

Channel 7 are making a lot of sweeping racist generalisations, calling the chinese a nation of con artists, counterfeiters, liers, cheats etc. Now this may be popular at the moment due to anger at the chinese government, but the people of china are the targets of these attacks, is it even legal for them to be doing this??

Even if it is legal, why would you pay for the rights to the olympics if your only intention was to ridicule them and the spirit they represent, the chinese government doesn't block racist coverage of their games from the "evil west" by the way, this kind of horrible publically accepted racism only strengthens their power.

I'm sure the chinese don't call the U.S a nation of fat, lazy, slobs on the news right? because every country and their news channels are perfect and report the most honest facts. Have you even read the online news that are from chinese reporters? extremely biased. so i really don't care. in fact, if i just watch the olympics without caring about who said what.

I have not seen it...however if it is as you say...it is very bad form.

I dislike biased media...in whatever form..

At least you are sensitive and sensible enough to pick it up..and respond.
