Is cheerleading tryouts hard?

I want to try out for cheerleading in fairfax cheerleading squad.. but im really nervous and i dont think i can make it. please please please answer thnx alot!

  1. Im a cheerleader and it depends on the judges. The secret to making a cheer sqaud it to keep smiling no matter what happens and even but oral gel on your teeth or vaseline to remind you. have alot of spirit and make sure all your mooves are stiff you should feel your elbows or knees lock dont be sloppy.


  2. No it shouldn't be just make sure your arms are tight. you hit your motions and your toe touches and herkies are GREAT! =)

    AND DONT FORGET TO SMILE!!

  3. all you gotta do is relax. All you have to think about is doing your best and no matter what happens you show great spirit. Smile, have enthusiasm, move around and make sure to learn the cheers, chants, and routines. I agree with the other gurl. I would personally practice with other gurls. Just relax, be yourself and have fun. Hope i helped!! : ]

  4. all you have to do is relax and practice hard you need to know basic things like splits, cartwheels and stuff like that also keep ur body flexible at the beggining its was kinda hard for me but once i got used to it it was pretty easy and it should be easy for u 2

  5. well idk your school but i was a cheerleader for rec and the highschool coach says that you can't sing the words, you have to shout them. it's also a plus if your flexible in any sence of the word. Get together with some friends that are trying out, or some former cheerleaders and learn the cheers, jumps, move, ect. hope i helped.

  6. well it depends on what your skills are..and what skills are required. we never really tryout at my school though so i dont know how hard they are exactly. just make sure you go in there confident and looking happy. dont get upset if you cant do something keep your head up through the whole thing.! make sure your movements are stuff and that you try your hardest. sometimes the coaches will be happy that your trying so hard and give you some bonus credit for that. remember be happy and believe in yourself.
