Is chemoluminescence (stuff inside of a glow stick) poisonous?

just making sure because I got some on my hands

one of my friends chewed one and it burst in their mouth.  They puked but that was it.

mostly it is poisonous so do not ever try to take it

In summary, glowsticks are considered non-toxic, but it is not a very good idea to drink the contents.
