why r u so much disturbed ? ya chennai is the good city of india , but we should be realistic , sources on behalf of mumbai is lots more than chennai , economic growth  is very highcompare to chennai...........so cool down

No, not untill it opens its doors to people from other parts of India. Secondly other languages need some breathing room. There are languages other than Tamil.

It was, it is, and it will be in future also. Even at B.C. it was a major center for all trades for India, connecting to other Cities in India. After India was, exposed to the World, it also grew as a major location for export of spices. It continued when the India was invaded by Muslim Rulers, and later in British Raj, it had kept its importance. To be precise it was a Capital for them to control whole of South India. Even now any body can have a look at the evidence. Only after hearing the popularity of this City, St. Thomas came down the to Chennai.

Cholas, and other prominent empires were all, made this City more attractive, and have their own contribution, which will remain immortal, for ever.
