Is chewing gum actually bad for you ?

well i chew gum everyday when i wake up , until the flavor is gone i chew dat peice once its gone i toss another one in my mouth and dat goes on ffor the rest of the day . i chew stride , trident and 5 gum . is it bad for my teeth ? (it is sugar free) well my jaws dont hurt like other people but im just wondering ....

  1. If you use whitening gum it can help more then hurt. But aside from that chewing gum makes you hungrier the might be a slight risk of wearing out your jaw 20-30 years down the line.


  2. Chewing gum is really good for your teeth and jaws.  It helps to prevent cavities and keeps your breath fresh smelling.  Keep chewing as much as you can!

  3. the  gum may not be bad for your teeth but you may wish to reconsider sugarless gum... google "aspartame kills" on the internet and see what a toxic chemical you are exposing yourself to on a daily basis.

  4. Stride is the only gum that has been proven bad for you. It actually has appetite inducers in it, which make you hungry. Dentists only approved gums are trident and orbit, so stick to those if you plan on chewing that much gum.
