  1. Hello...Well now, about your gum chewing question...If you have issues about some of the ingredients (artificial sweetening) in gum that are stated to be a possible carcinogen agent, you might not want to chew at all...If on the other hand that isn't an issue you, may want to pick the gum with the artificial sweetener that isn't so labeled....On the positive side, chewing gum, wax, jerky or any product that requires a great deal of chewing is really good for both your gums and your teeth...Good luck and I wish you well.

  2. yes it is good for your teeth and not just to get rid of food but also breaks up the plak with the saliva it sstimulates

  3. Absolutely!  Especially the sugarless gums with Xylitol which is a cavity fighter.  Chewing the gum for 20 minutes after every meal generates enough saliva to cover your teeth and help brush away the food that is there which actively prevents tartar and plaque buildup, which in turn prevents cavities.  Orbit is my favorite brand (due to all the flavors).

  4. If you don't have the chance to brush this is an alternative to break up the food left in your teeth - better than nothing.
