  1. Well I would think it is not good for him. The grease from it could coat his gills and he would suffocate. I would stick to the fish food for him.

  2. Yes, you may give your bird Chili peppers.  Peppers are actually a good source of Vitamin A.

Birds aren't able to process the chemical "capsaicin" which is what makes the peppers hot to us.  The hottest pepper just tastes good to a bird.  Mine eat chili peppers almost every day.

  3. the chilli is finr just give in small amounts and as treats and he will be ok. They can taste the stuff that makes the pepers hot(theres a name that i cant rember) so they acuallly really in joy it. Oh i know every thing about eclectus look at my avatar good luck

  4. no probably not.  but i could do with some chilli about now....

  5. What kind of chili? Chili peppers are fine--they actually put dried peppers in some parrot food mixes--but if you're referring to the food, well, it depends on what kind of chili you eat. Most chili recipes that have meat in them are quite greasy, and grease is very unhealthy for birds (it's unhealthy for us, too, but it affects the birds more). If it's vegetarian chili, then it's probably okay, you just need to make sure the individual ingredients are all bird-safe, and that you serve it lukewarm, not hot. I can't imagine what you could put in veggie chili that wouldn't be bird-safe, but if you think any of the ingredients seem dubious, you can always call your vet up and ask them.
