  1. We?  Most of us will be rootin' up daises by the time fifty years roll around again!

  2. China is in trouble. It's a large diverse nation with a totalitarian government. The government has been able to placate the populous with hope through economic reforms. You have to realize that of the 1.2 billion people in China, the economic reforms have only helped about 300 million. The other 900 million are in check because there is hope that their lives and the lives of their children will significantly improve.

The Chinese government needs to keep it's torrid growth moving forward as to not cause unrest (remember Tienanmen Square). This is becoming an increasingly difficult job due to many factors. China needs to take control of it's environment, its been neglected in favor of industrial growth and is at a breaking point.  They need to pour billions of $$$ into environmental improvements before the country runs out of fresh drinking water. This will cause a drag on growth. They are also fuel starved (along with the rest of the world), this will put a drag on growth.

I wouldn't be surprised if within 5 years there will be serious cracks in the Chinese "miracle".

  3. We will have one world leader, which is awesome!

  4. We have worked to hard to regress that much. There will never be one world leader. That is why we have things like the United Nations.

I wish Russia would quit trying to make us start another cold war.

  5. I hope not I hate china

  6. God forbid life is the same in 50 years - Big Brother 97!

  7. Yip,together with the Russians

  8. is china taking over the world? ? No

"do you think life as we know it will be the same in 50 yrs? Or do you think we will have one world leader ?"

No it won't be the same in 50 years but we won't have one world leader yet by then , it is going to take much more time then 50 years

  9. Is China taking the world? World leader?

That sounds like a cartoon. If you see Made in China everywhere, that's because people prefer cheaper things.

Do you think life as we know it will be the same in 50 yrs?

Nothing is the same in this universe. Everything is changing.

    Bin Biden: Everything is changing.

  10. No.

Life won't be the same. I have seen it get progressively worse since the 60s because of Liberal ideals.

We won't have a one world leader. At least not the way you think.

  11. With the current rapid rate at which China is growing it's at risk of developing too quickly and not building a solid foundation from which to run a long-term successful country with a strong economy and satisfied citizens.

Regarding the manufacturing issue where all products seemed to be produced in China at a cheap rate. Soon the prices will increase and then other countries will jump in and offer cheaper products...it just goes round in a circle and will continue to do so.

Life will never be the same in 50 years but that can't be put down to one single country, that's just natural progression. Whether it'll be a brighter future or not depends on our decisions and how we act now.

Thanks to a more liberal influence (contrary to the beliefs of another contributor on here) there'll never be a one world leader...that would only happen in a totalitarian/facist/right wing environment. Some people seem to forget that it was a right wing dictatorship who wanted to conquer Europe and caused WWI & WWII not some leftist liberal do-gooder.

  12. You know what? I think one day there will be no such things as nations but it will be a LONG time from now. So I'm not worried. The concept goes that there will be 1 leader of a global empire and this guy will initiate the time of tribulation and suffering mentioned in the bible.
