  1. Yes its bad for you.  Chinese food is know to serve good food, that is bad for you.  They use a lot of oil, and sometimes even lard.  They use a lot of MSG, especially if they stir fried their food, like Kung Pao Chicken.   Their sauces are usually high in sodium because they use a lot of soy sauce as their base.  Stay away from Chinese food, and switch to Japanese or Vietnamese food where they use fresher ingredients

  2. A 5.5 ounce serving has 240 calories and 15 grams of fat.  So its not all that bad for you.  If you add rice, that will add extra calories.

  3. If it is not fried, has no MSG then yes because it has chicken which is protien. As long as theres no fat on the chicken. Also Veges are good sources of vitamins and minerals for growth and development

  4. like maybe yes or like maybe no.

  5. im chinese and i have never even heard of kung pao chicken...i dont even think thats chinese..any food can be bad if they have lots of fat, salt msg etc etc. usually if you homecook chinese food its not bad for u, but if u get take out..then yes it is..fairly bad, (but not as bad as major fast food chains)

  6. Depends on how it is made.  Whether they used hydrogenated oil, whether you get fried rice with it (ask for steamed brown rice) and whether they used MSG.  If they used peanut oil and no MSG then it is not too bad.  If you have high blood pressure, the sodium can be bad for you, but for most sodium isn't a big issue.

  7. I'd never heard of Kung Pao chicken until last year or so, when a non-Chinese co-worker mentioned it. It's not real Chinese food. It's also probably very bad for you (sodium, MSG, oils).

Most westernised Chinese food would not be recognisable as 'Chinese' to Chinese people, and the stuff you get in restaurants is not authentic if they serve stuff like the aforementioned, or lemon chicken, or chicken balls with neon orange sauce...

  8. yeah, It has a lot of salt which causes high blook pressure

  9. Any Chinese food from a Chinese restaurant will have MSG in it in regards to whether it is healthy or not. Chinese food in general is not healthy food for you to eat. Indulging yourself on a non-regular basis is fine though.

  10. Unfortunetly most chinese food restaurants in the US are not serving Authentic chinese food. Many are owned and run by Vietnemese and the food has been very Americanized to suit our tastes that all adds up in answering your question. .No it most likely is not that good for you.. It is also one of those things that the government has not done official nutritional studies on.   So beware!!!   If you go to china you don't see too many fat people.. that is the authentic chinese food diet..

  11. It tends to have a lot of sodium which is bad if you have high blood pressure.  Other than that I think it's really healthy.  There doesn't seem to be alot of fat people in China.

  12. Yes.

It's probably not authentic Chinese chicken, just a westernized version.  And westerners love nothing more than chemicals and salt.  Yum.

  13. that is good for you and all chinese is good take care and eat.

  14. I don't think so, I love it.
