  1. It depends, Chula Vista and San Diego both are cities that are a part of San Diego County. Its in the southern part and close to Mexico.

  2. Two different cities. Saying San Diego is just for reference since its more familiar. But Chula Vista is in San Diego Country

  3. They are 2 totally separate cities.

If you are talking to people who do not know the area you can always say you live in Chula Vista which is right next to San Diego.

Chula Vista is still in San Diego County but is a different city.

  4. Chula Vista is a city within San Diego County.  National City, is also a city within San Diego County & so is Imperial Beach. There are parts of San Diego that are considered San Diego even if they are surrounded by 1 or 2 cities.

If you look in the phonebook you will see how everything is seperated.  I believe the housing on the east side of Coronado & the 5 Freeway is considered San Diego & their you have Del Sol, Nestor, San Ysidro in the surrounding areas.

Hope this clears it up for you.

  5. Yes. It's in southern San Diego county.
