  1. Of course, I have no way of knowing what you consider "younger." I have been playing for quite some time, and I have no objection to my p*****n sons and teenage daughter playing it. Different aspects of the game appeal to different players depending on age, maturity, etc. Many kids enjoy the character creation and costuming aspect more than strict gameplay.

The only aspect that a parent or guardian needs to be concerned with (in my opinion) is that there is frequent, almost constant, interaction with other real people sitting in front of their own computers. No other player KNOWS (automatically) if they are playing with a child. I would only suggest that a concerned adult participate in the set-up. There is ingame chat logging which (depending on the player's age) could be accessed if you feel there is reason for concern.

For my own kids? I just made sure that there were rules about conveying personally identifyable information online...the same rule as with any other online activity. Be knowledgeable enough about the game to know if something is amiss.

    Good Luck!
