Is clear (or even normal) pvc strong enough to make a dj cage?

i need to make a new dj booth/cage thing for my live musik shows, and i was wondering if pvc would be strong enough to hang things from, like keyboards, lcd monitors, fog machines, lights, laser machines, etc?

and i thought the clear stuff might be more creative

As long as it is thick enough.  

If your panels are too thin, what you can do is cut some smaller sheets/strips out of a larger panel (or just buy them that way) and glue them to the larger sheet to "stiffen up" the large sheet wherever it is bending too much.  Shore up the PVC by gluing 12"x12" pieces to area where your hooks are needed.

Consider using polycarbonate instead of PVC.  That stuff is almost indestructable.
