a few weeks back bowyer purposefully bumps reutimann out of his way, then gets bumped the exact same way by stremme, and whines about being raced hard by a nationwide regular in his post-race interview, saying "no wonder stremme's back in the nationwide series."

this week, he gets nudged on pit road by the rookie logano, who obviously had many pit road problems, then charges back at him coming out of pit road, pushing the boy nearly into the infield.

then he gets bumped by edwards, who later said he didn't want to win that way - he just got loose - but bowyer comes on in his post-race interview and whines "i thought carl and i were friends..."

friends? how "friendly" was he to stremme and logano, who he is supposed to be "more mature" than? and when a cup regular does to him by mistake what stremme did, it's a misunderstanding about who's his "friend?"

i can't decide - is clint bowyer a hypocrite, a crybaby, or both?

what do you think?

  1. He's a human being who showed actual human emotion, while his adrenaline was pumping, and he was angry and frustrated. I refuse to judge any driver on how they conduct themselves during post race interviews. (Obviously)

  2. Oh heck, that's just racin'. I'm glad to see ole Clint get fired up a little. Put that fire into his racin' and he'll be a tough competitor. Isn't that the same fire Kyle has?

    .........................................

It's not like Clint quit because Kyle was ahead of him in the points. I do remember Kyle quitting his Nationwide pursuit. That can't be fire can it? That's really doing something about it ...!!! quitting?

  3. both...I hope Joey slams him next weekend!!!!..and if he comes back onto the track after repairs,I hope Stremme slams him again. Then he will actually have something worth whining about!!!!

  4. I'm not trying to rant or anything but i think for 2009 nascar needs to  cut the Points to the cup guys in the nation wide races i mean really think about there's no reason for Boywer an David R or any cup guys to run in the Nationwide series for points i mean the cars are totally different now on the same track as the cup guys to get more seat time and see what the track and car are going to do that's fine like them flying in here today from California i mean come on do you really need to run this race that bad

  5. --clint bowyer is both. [and don't

    forget: big jealous pretty-boy].

  6. He is mad. He had every right to be mad, much like you have every right to not like him.

Of course, you weren't mad at Stremme's comments after he wrecked.

  7. Clint is going for the championship, he is just tossing some good ole racin frustration out there..Clint the world is not coming to a end...get over it..I think Clint just showed some racing frustration out there tonight...I think he was a trio mix tonight  alittle of all hypo-cry-frustration tonight...He is trying to go for the championship.....relax..Joey isn't driving next weekend I hear...but then you have Brad, dude it never ends get over it...its racing and isn't racing about competition..

    GO Dale Jr & Hms

  8. Clint Bowyer was jealous I think.  Jealous that an 18 year old kid (Lagano) can come in to Nationwide (where he was winning) and do so well.

I think the kid hurt his pride, shoot, made for a great race last night.

  9. Yes.

Cross country trips make people whinney..........

    And I like Bowyer.

  10. I hate to say it but I think many of the drivers are whining way too much these days. Jeff Gordon did it a while back and was highly criticized. Now it seems to be every day practice amongst a large number of drivers. I support their right to speak freely but also believe they need to study the way things were 20 years and more before their time. Time for an attitude adjustment. I also find myself saying"Shut up and drive. Like it or not, rubbin's racin'." I agree with every point you made. It's all part of the new American entitlement theory. Maybe we could get congress to pass a bill to outlaw the bump and run. AAAArgh! Still, I don't think NASCAR drivers are nearly as whiny as the stick and ball athletes. Carl Edwards' post race behavoir should be a model for everyone. That guy's got class! Side note to anyone reading this. Please say a prayer for everyone effected by the tragic loss of Scott Kalitta.
