when i graduted from high school i thought things were going to be different. i was going to go to a good school (which i did) and i was going to meet cool new people with new ideas. MAN WAS I WRONG. this place is like i am back in high school. same guys with their sandals, cargo shorts, backwards caps. what happened. i thought college was different and there were some standards. in my opinion that is the only negative of having increased funding for the educational system. any idiot with a 2.0 gpa could get in and ruin it for everyone else. what are youre thoughts.

  1. It is completely true unless you go to a competitive university.

  2. tools will exist wherever a Hollister is near. XD

anyway, there are different kinds of people in college. you've just got to find them.

might i suggest "goths", theater kids, juggalos, pyshce majors, things like that.

hang out with a ton of different people.

you could at least try making friends with the tools. but it's all up to you.

    :3

  3. Man! I thought it was gonna be different too. I was so looking forward to it. =[ Now its ruined. I only hope that it's a matter of schools, with different types of people, possibly? What university do you go to?

  4. The fact that the guys at your college are wearing the same things as the people at your high school did doesn't mean that they are thinking in the same way.  Don't dismiss people on such superficial grounds.  Of course, if you went to a college which would take anyone with a 2.0 from high school, you shouldn't expect much, but that isn't true of most colleges.

  5. People are the same every where that is why there's is so many shows that depict dumb*sses running around drinking and being horrid to scholastically advanced people which are treated terribly and called nerds. But if you tend to focus on those who would over turn the cart you are not focusing on your goals. So to make your experience a pleasant one befriend faculty and staff and those who are also looking to achieve more than just drinking and carousing.

  6. couldn't agree more. of course, i'm new to it all so i wouldn't know but i deff agree.

everyone needs to just grow up and shut up already about the stupid life-long stereotypical clique popularity contest :P

and you'd think college kids are more mature but they are still holding on to their childish high school ways...

  7. No ****.  When I went to college (I wont say which one) I felt like I was coming from a super rich prestigious multidiverse college and fell backwards into a ghetto remedial racist high school.

Now I'm thinking about going to grad school...anywhere but where I've been at!

  8. Well i guess it all depends on where you live. Over here where I live, we call it university and high school. As far as I know they both have their similarity's but are different in many ways!

  9. I understand your concern, but what you have to understand is that you cannot judge people by the way they look. I am pretty sure those guys wearing caps backwards are as nice as those guys where shirts with ties. At my college, I professor, who is extremely intelligent and a good teacher, dresses all ghetto. He wears baggy jeans, t-shirts, and ear-rings. So, please dont judge these people by the way they look and dress.

Regarding your statement, "any idiot with a 2.0 gpa could get in and ruin it for everyone else." Yes, I sincerely agree with that and additionally, it is sad that colleges let students with 2.0 GPA earn a degree.

  10. people are stupid.

    stupid should hurt.
